2026 Cobramoto CX50JR

The CX50JR is the latest incarnation of the most successful racing motorcycle in U.S. History. This little bike has won every AMA national championship since its inception in 1997. That’s a perfect record over the course of nearly 30 years! We’ve improved upon last year’s all new model with even better handling and performance. Welcome to the big leagues Junior!

Engine: The CX50JR Venom Series engine delivers smooth power and torque providing, confidence inspiring performance.

Cylinder: The cylinder of the CX50JR is a key component of its powerful Cobra Venom 50cc 2-stroke engine. Crafted with precision, the cylinder maximizes combustion efficiency, resulting in improved performance and power output. Its design ensures optimal airflow and fuel mixture.

Clutch; The CX50JR is equipped with the Cobra 5Gx Freewheeling 3-Shoe clutch. Our system ensures smooth and efficient power transfer, enhancing the bike’s acceleration and control.

Cooling: The CX50JR comes equipped with dual radiators. This cooling system optimally controls engine temperature, and the radiators are mounted up and out of harm’s way.

Exhaust: The CX50JR’s exhaust system features a meticulously engineered tuned pipe and silencer combination. This design optimizes the flow of exhaust gases, maximizing power output and torque throughout the RPM range.

VP Racing Factory-Fill: Cobra and VP Racing have teamed up to ensure that each Cobra model comes with the finest lubricants and chemicals. This includes everything from wheel bearing grease to brake fluid, suspension fluid, to the oil on the air filter.

Frame: Hybrid Oval twin spar/Backbone frame: This chassis reduces weight, improves handling, allows the radiator to be tucked in, eases maintenance, and is stronger.

Swingarm: New in 2026 – 25mm of additional length for the precision-designed swingarm with an improved leverage ratio for the rear suspension, allowing for a softer rate shock spring. Gear up for optimal performance that allows riders to navigate through rough terrains with confidence. With its combination of strength, stability, and suspension efficiency, the swingarm of the CX50JR provides a solid foundation for riders to push their limits and conquer any motocross challenge.

Wheels: The CX50JR is equipped with high-quality Cobra 10″ Forged & Anodized front wheels and Cobra 10″ Forged & Anodized rear wheels. These wheels provide excellent strength and durability. Wheel Front / Rear: Cobra 10″ Forged & Anodized/ Cobra 10″ Forged & Anodized.  New this year – 25mm longer wheelbase, now meeting the AMA limit of 37” to allow for a more stable racer in the rough stuff!.

Tires: Dunlop Geomax MX34 Intermediate-Terrain Tires: A high-end bike deserves high-end tires. The CX50JR is outfitted with Dunlop Geomax MX34s front and back. Enhanced grip, improved slide control, and a larger contact patch with the ground all add up to reduced lap times. No corners cut here!

Front Suspension: Revolutionary MXT “Smart Leg” Front Fork: Cobra’s exclusive 32mm USD CARD fork is designed to be the finest fork in minicycle racing! Cobra’s innovative design simultaneously provides supple action over small bumps, and progressive control through the biggest of hits. A feature especially important for minicycles that run on tracks torn up by bikes twice their size. This fork also features fully adjustable rebound and compression damping and bottoming control adjustment not found on any other fork, of any size, and is built on a spring cartridge architecture that’s ready to tackle the toughest terrain right out of the crate.

Rear Suspension: CARD rear shock features high and low speed compression adjustment. The shock tucks in tightly for a slim mid-section providing outstanding performance and control.  The new 2026 model is equipped with a 25mm longer swingarm, improving the leverage ratio for the rear suspension and allowing for a softer rate shock spring.

Brakes: CARD front and rear brake system: World-class feel and responsiveness.

Controls: The front brake features a breakaway low-friction ergonomic lever designed to give rather than break during a tip-over.

Micro Handlebars: Cobra is proud to offer Micro Handlebars on the CX50JR. These bars have revolutionized the way that young riders control their motorcycles by offering a reduced diameter grip area that inspires confidence and reduces fatigue. The bars are mounted to Forged Aircraft Grade Aluminium Triple Clamps with integrated mount. These clamps are lightweight, impart low clamping forces into the fork tubes for improved suspension action, and they provide a clamping feature onto the steering stem for improved steering feel.

Seat: Well-designed ergonomics provide a slimmer, flatter seat for easier fore-aft transitions and accommodation for a larger range of rider sizes. All this while maintaining the most suspension travel in its class.

Ergonomic Hand Holds: The CX50JR features a new seat strap handle, making it easy to lift and handle both on and off the track.
