    Description

    2017 Tramac TR-8

More than 30 years ago Tramac pioneered these excavator type systems. Mounted to a turn table base these units are constructed of massive boxed sectioned structures with an arched main boom section and tapered dipperstick. Some of the first units, delivered to the mines of Arizona and Nevada and the far north in Canada, are still in use after a much longer life than originally expected. Spare parts remain available and Tramac has been happy to participate in refurbishment. These units are used in large capacity gyratory crushers carrying hammers up through 13,000 lbs. (5,900 kg). Such a breaker will break a 2 meter boulder with a compressive strength of over 40,000 psi (280 mpa). TR booms are custom made, with variations that respond to individual site requirements. With todays large haul trucks and dump pockets a Rock Breaker with this kind of horizontal coverage (+20 meters) is often necessary.

    Features may include:
    • Construction: massive, reinforced steel box sections inside and outside. Arched main boom section and tapered dipperstick heavily reinforced at all critical points.
    • Large 360 swing table. Rotek ball-bearing swing gear assembly, hydraulic motor with planetary and pinion gears. Shock absorbing boom base.
    • Protection for hydraulic line: strategic routing to prevent interference and damage. Hoses or tubes routed on top of boom.
    • Controls: fully proportional electro-hydraulic remote control system, dual joystick levers in aluminum box
    • Hydraulic power unit: heavy duty fabricated steel assembly with tank positioned above pump, includes electric motor (voltage per your specs), coupler, pump(s), filters, oil level sight gauge, tank heater, oil cooler, low level and high temperature shutoff switches, drip pan.
