Single BSCW1544 spading closing wheels dont close the seed slot as well as a pair of correctly leveled 13 spading closing wheels, but they do perform significantly better than a pair of smooth factory closing wheels in higher moisture no-till soils.

A pair of 15 spading closing wheels may be used in extreme conditions where a pair of 13 wheels have trouble closing the seed trench.
