    Conquer tough terrain with confidence

You will feel confident and comfortable, even on tough terrain, with a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle. You will feel stable with a low center of gravity and a wide stance. Engine braking and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes keep you in control on steep descents, even when fully loaded. The power steering on M- and R-Trim vehicles, is smooth and responsive.

With standard four-wheel drive and rear differential lock, both instantly available with the flip of a switch, you can get where you are going.

The independent suspension provides a smooth ride as 203 mm (8 in.) of front suspension travel and 229 mm (9 in.) of rear suspension travel cushions bumps and glides over ruts. And clearing rocks and roots is no problem with up to 305 mm (12 inches) of ground clearance.

Full-Size Gator Utility Vehicles are available with three tire options:

    • Terra Hawk all-terrain tires
      • Tread pattern and wide footprint provide excellent traction with minimal impact on terrain
    • Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 extreme terrain radial tires
      • Radial construction provides shock absorption, allowing for a smoother ride
      • Non-directional tread pattern provides predictable cornering and claws up roots and rocks
    • Predator Heavy-Duty all-terrain radial tire
      • Radial construction provides shock absorption, allowing for a smoother ride
      • Flat profile increases footprint area, reducing ground pressure
      • 8-ply rating delivers up to three times the life of Bighorn tires

    Built for the long haul

    • Full-size Gator™ XUVs are built to work hard and go the extra mile.
    • The hefty frame is designed to stand-up to all the bumps and bends of the trail, and the standard full-underbody skid plate protects key components from damage.
    • Constant velocity joints are enclosed to keep water and dirt out. A protector shield protects the boot from trail debris.
    • The hood and side panels are made of automotive-grade materials that resist scratches and dents, and the cargo box is made of tough composite material that resists dents and rust. Optional protection packages look tough and provide even more protection.

    Automotive-like controls

    • When you sit behind the wheel of a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle, you will be reminded of your favorite pick-up truck. There are controls at your fingertips, an easy-to-read instrument panel, and outlets to recharge your phone. Comfort and convenience packages include cargo box power lift, dual-beam LED headlights, turn signals, even a winch.
    • Shift from park and into gear with a throw of a single lever. Power steering on M- and R- trim vehicles is smooth and responsive.
    • When the going gets tough, you can instantly engage four-wheel drive and rear differential lock with switches. Even at night, the backlit switches are easy to see. If a front wheel starts to slip, the front differential automatically locks to pull you through.

    Room for you, plus two

    • When you hop into the seat of a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle, you will notice there’s seating for you, plus two.
    • The adjustable operator’s seat and tilt steering lets drivers of all sizes get comfortable, and the passenger grab handles help everyone feel secure. The low step height and generous opening between seat base and fender is even designed to accommodate bulky work boots.
    • Roof, windshield, rear panel, and half doors attachments keep you dry, shaded, and out of the dust. Cab doors with roll down windows and heater attachments keep you warm all winter.

Class-leading cargo box volume* configures to the needs of the job

    • The large cargo box on full-size Gator XUVs has a 454 kg (1000 lb) capacity so you can bring your gear, tools, and haul materials with confidence. You can also make fewer trips with 1814 kg (4000 lb) of towing capacity and a standard 51-mm (2-in.) receiver hitch.
    • The cargo box resists dents, scratches, and rust because it is made from a tough composite material and can haul 524-L (18.5-cu ft) of your gear and material. Five D-ring tie down points and rails can be used to secure your load.
    • Molding the cargo box allows for built-in features that enable the box to be quickly reconfigured for the unique needs of every job. You can use standard 5-cm (2-in.) dimensional lumber to hold cargo in place or divide cargo box into separate areas. You can add a second level of storage space by leveraging the tiered storage lip. Stake pocket clamps allows for quick and toolless attachment installation and removal. On M-trim and R-trim vehicles, a 12-V power port is available to power attachments.
    • The tailgate includes a flat work surface, ruler, and pockets to place hardware. A v-channel and four reinforced clamping pockets work together to securely hold round objects. Bump stops provide raised edges position your square edged objects.
    • Since your hands are always full, the tailgate can be opened and closed with one hand. You can also lower the tailgate to carry longer items or remove it for easy cleanout.
    • To save your back, the optional cargo box power lift empties heavy loads with the push of a button.

*Class is defined as a full-size heavy-duty crossover UTV with less than 100-in. wheelbase which is powered by a 750 to 900cc gasoline engine. Comparisons were made by calculating volume using published cargo box dimensions.

    Powerful EFI engine and drivetrain

    • The XUV 845 and XUV825M S4 Gator™ Utility Vehicles are powered by an electronic fuel injection (EFI) gasoline engine with liquid-cooled, dual-overhead cams. This engine is designed to provide maximum power and fuel efficiency to muscle through tough jobs.
    • It also has plenty of torque in low range, and fast speeds in high range. The enclosed drivetrain automatically adjusts for fast acceleration, along with powerful hauling and hill-climbing capabilities.

    Store more gear

    • One-row full-size Gator XUVs come packed with places to store tools, gear, and beverages.
    • The dash has four cup holders, and cab vehicles have a cup holder in each door.
    • The vehicles also feature an enclosed glove box, center tray, dash storage pocket and under-seat storage. Depending on the configuration, vehicles may have up to three additional dash bins and under-hood storage.

    Color options and styling

    • You will get noticed with the distinctive styling of full-size Gator™ XUVs. Available in three colors, with various protection packages, and more than 100 attachments, you can create a custom look that will turn heads.

Manage your fleet using John Deere Operations Center™

    Overview

    • A JDLink™ M Modem connects a utility vehicle to the John Deere Operations Center, which enables you to manage your fleet of John Deere equipment more efficiently, increase productivity, and reduce labor costs. Whether you’re a farmer, professional landscaper, or municipality, with a modem and Operations Center, you are always connected to the work in progress and keep track of your utility vehicles, commercial mowers, tractors, and farm equipment.
    • A JDLink M Modem is a factory-installed option for model year 2026 and newer one-row full-size XUV vehicles. A modem is included on vehicles ordered with GreenStar™ and AutoTrac™ ready option codes as well.

A modem can be field installed on the following vehicles:

    • Model year 2018 and newer TS, TX, TX Turf, TH Gas, and TH Diesel
    • GX Electric and GX Electric Crew
    • Model year 2018 and newer HPX 615E and 815E
    • Model year 2018 and newer XUV 560E, 560E S4, 590E, 590E S4, 590M, and 590M S4
    • Model year 2018 and newer XUV 825E, 825M, 825M S4, 855E, 855M, and 855M S4
    • XUV 835E, 835M, 835R, 865E, 865M, and 865R
    • XUV 845M, 845R, 875M, and 875R

See compatibility section for serial number breaks and requirements.

The John Deere Operations Center tracks your fleet and provides tools to analyze equipment data. The connected features vary by vehicle model.

The JDLink M Modem regularly transmits the location and operational status of each vehicle in the fleet so you can monitor progress in Operations Center.

    • Location history-Display of map with current and past locations of each vehicle.
    • Speed-Maps each vehicle’s current speed, so you can target operator training.
    • Hours of operation-Reports the time of day the vehicle has been operated.
    • Geofencing-Alerts when a vehicle enters or exits a prescribed area, for example if the vehicle has been stolen or an operator entered a prohibited area.
    • Curfews-Alerts if the vehicle is operating outside prescribed times.

    Engine hours

The modem regularly transmits the vehicle’s engine hours to inform maintenance planning and balance use.

    • Sync-The vehicle reports actual engine hours to the Operations Center.
    • Key-Engine hours are estimated by monitoring the key switch. Engine hours can be corrected in Operations Center.

On select products, the modem reports the hours the vehicle spent working and idling. The Operations Center’s Machine Analyzer tool reports usage data which allows you to analyze operator behavior, identify causes of low productivity, and initiate corrective actions.

    Fuel level

    • On select products, the modem reports the fuel level. On these products, an analysis of fuel consumption is available in the Operations Center Machine Analyzer Tool. Measuring fuel consumption enables you to address causes of excessive fuel use.

    Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

    • On select products, the modem transmits the trouble codes generated by the vehicle’s control units to the Operations Center. Addressing DTCs can reduce downtime and repair costs. For example, a low-engine oil pressure DTC can indicate an engine is low on oil. Addressing the issue can prevent costly downtime and repairs.
    • To help address issues quickly, when a DTC is generated, the Operations Center can display a push notification on the mobile app and send an email. Operations Center can also be configured to limit notifications to stop-level severity DTCs.

    Service Advisor Remote

    • On select products, John Deere dealers can perform remote diagnostics, software programming, and adjustments without the cost of a service call.

    Compatibility

A JDLink Modem is included on:

    • Model year 2023 to 2025 vehicles ordered with option code 183E JDLink Modem. Option code 183E was only available with, and required on, GreenStar ready and AutoTrac ready vehicles.
    • Model year 2026 and newer vehicles ordered with option code 183N JDLink M Modem. Option code 183N can be ordered as a stand-alone option and is required on GreenStar ready and AutoTrac ready vehicles.

A JDLink M Modem can be field installed on the Gator Utility Vehicles listed below. Field installation attachments simplify modem installation, and include mounting hardware, harness, and instructions. Field installation requires a JDLink M Modem to be ordered separately. The field installation attachments include a wiring harness therefore the modem should be ordered with the less harness option code.

    Ethernet cable and switch kits

On model year 2026 and newer XUV 845M, 845R, 875M, and 875R vehicles, the optional BUC11879 ethernet cable connects a JDLink M Modem to a Generation 4 or 5 display which enables the JDLink M Modem to transmit precision ag technology data to Operations Center.

    • Only vehicles equipped with a BUC11814 display and receiver integration kit benefit from BUC11879 ethernet cable since factory-installed GreenStar and AutoTrac ready options include this functionality.
    • Model year 2025 and older vehicles are not compatible with BUC11879 ethernet cable.

Model year 2026 vehicles with a generation 4 display (4240 or 4640) also require a BUC11874 ethernet switch to adapt the generation 4 display. This applies to vehicles with factory-installed GreenStar ready option, factory-installed AutoTrac ready option, and vehicles with a BUC11814 display and receiver integration kit
