With the Serto SC HORSCH offers a compact seed drill in 10 and 12 m working width without front tools. Its central features are a sophisticated folding technology and an end-to-end tyre packer combined with a heavy double disc coulter. Similar to the well-proven Pronto system two seed coulters with a row spacing of 16.6 cm run behind every tyre. To guarantee a homogeneous depth placement, the Serto is equipped with a packer for levelling and for consolidation.The new HORSCH PowerDisc coulter is ideal for difficult conditions and, even if the seedbed is coarse, guarantees a safe seed placement due to coulter pressures of up to 150 kg per individual row. Due to very large bearings and its design the coulters are extremely solid and long-lasting. We integrated the experiences from the Maestro single grain seed drill in the development. The hopper capacity of the Serto amounts to a total of 6 000 liter, partition ratio 60 : 40. Thus, either 6 000 liter of seed can be applied or a combination of seed and fertiliser with a hopper partition of 3 600 liter in the front and 2 400 liter in the rear hopper. A 300 liter hopper for a micro-granular compound as a third component is available as an option. For an efficient loosening of the tractor tracks track eradicator tines or wavy-disc track eradicators are available. The wavy discs that are arranged in pairs are ideal especially on heavy soils, as no rough clods are broken from the seedbed and the tolerance for harvest residues is particularly high. At the push of a button the machine folds to a transport width of 3 m.
