The PRO XL520 Chipper Shredder does it all. Its shredding action is produced by 24 serrated, free-swinging hammers. This superior shedding technology reduces lighter materials 20:1...pulverizing leaves, sticks and other yard and garden waste (up to 1.5" thick) into a fine mulch that you can compost or till into your soil. And its side chipper chute will demolish branches up to 5" in diameter. The PRO XL520 lets you get all of your yard cleanup done with one versatile machine.

• Serrated Shredding Hammers
  • Our unique, serrated shredding hammers use their jagged edges to pulverize materials fed into the shredder hopper and reduce it by 20:1. The result is a fine “pre-composted” mulch that can enrich your garden soil. Hammers are reversible and can also be rehung from the opposite hole to provide fresh surfaces for chewing up materials up to 1.5” in diameter.
• Self-Feeding Action
  • A large vertically oriented hopper, a precisely-angled heavy-duty chipping knife, and a powerful air channel work together to pull branches into the chipping hopper and blast wood chips out the discharge. Most materials will self-feed, so once you drop a branch in, you're free to get the next one. No force feeding required!
• Oversized Hoppers
  • The shredder hopper opening is 19" x 17", big enough to accept multiple stalks up to 1.5" thick along with side branches and leaves. The chipper opening (8" x 14") accepts branches up to 5" in diameter.
